The impressive Neues Museum (New Museum), located on Museum Island, reopened in 2009 after a thorough restoration, and houses the 3,300-year-old bust of Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, one of the works most famous of antiquity. With our ticket you can skip the queue and see this antiquity icon face to face (and many more things).
Go back to the ancient world with a visit to the Neues Museum. This recently renovated building contains a wealth of antiques, curiosities and mythology. Divide your time between two permanent exhibitions (equally fascinating).
Here you will see the Egyptian and Nubian cultures. Stare into the eyes of the busts of kings. Stroll through the three object rooms of the Old Kingdom. Look at the famous head of Tiye (one of the most influential women of ancient Egypt: it is believed that he lived between 1398 BC and 1338 AD) and stay stone with the famous bust of the Egyptian queen Nefertiti, from 3,300 years
This collection is dedicated to Prehistory and the Ancient Age, and contains more than 6,000 archaeological objects that show life from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages. Look at the Neanderthal man from Le Mousiter, look at the murals with Norse mythology in the Odin Hall, Urns and Looting Objects and don’t miss the Berlin Golden Hat, a Bronze Age headdress of fine gold leaf that dates back to 1000 – 800 a. C.
You may not be like an Egyptian in the end but you will end up being an expert.
