Visit to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island:

Enjoy the view exactly as immigrants arriving in America did, without the stress of having to move country. This boat tour takes you to Liberty Island (where the famous statue is located) and Ellis Island, where you will have access to the Ellis Island National Immigration Museum. Take it as a very moving meditation on the nature of American ideals, apart from enjoying the boat ride!

After crossing the Atlantic avec amourin 1886, the Statue of Liberty stands today in front of the port of New York. Marvel at this monument by sailing from Battery Park.

Once you reach the three acres of land on Liberty Island, you will have the opportunity to walk around the entire statue and hear the history of this monument through an audio guide. (Tickets to enter the Statue of Liberty are not included).

From the island you can see the imposing monument, a symbol towards a great step, the end of slavery, represented by the break of its chains. France, in fact, sent the statue as a gift a year after slavery was abolished in the U.S. You can see his imposing figure and if you look down you can see the broken chains at his feet.

Ellis Island, a short distance by boat, goes further in the history of America, detailing the long processes that refugees and immigrants underwent to reach the land of opportunity at the beginning of the 20th century.

It is estimated that almost half of Americans have at least one member in their family who passed through Ellis Island. Many of the exhibits are geared towards children (and include an audio guide designed for children 6-10 years old), making this tour very family-friendly, to learn about immigrants’ own experience. Afterwards, you can take another boat back to Battery Park.

The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are important places for New York, for history books, and for US ideals. Take this walk, observe these emblematic places up close and keep in mind the quote from the book of Mrs. Libertad, which says: “Give me your tired, your poor, your crowded crowds yearning to breathe freely …”

You will appreciate being able to enjoy the freedoms and opportunities that you have in your life and you will also be glad that you made the decision to visit.
